Netflix Is Now Cheaper For Kenyans

Netflix has introduced localized Kenyan rates which in turn has made the service more affordable. This move will make there prices more stable and accessible to most Kenyans.

Netflix offers 3 membership plans that will suit your needs. Your plan will determine how many people can stream Netflix content at once, and whether you can view in Standard Definition (SD), High Definition (HD), or Ultra High Definition (UHD).

  • Basic Plan: (700 KES per month) 1 screen plan SD (watch on 1 device at a time, Standard Definition)
  • Standard Plan: (950 KES per month) 2 screen plan HD (watch on 2 devices at the same time, High Definition when available)
  • Premium Plan: (1,200 KES per month)4 screen plan HD/UHD 4K (watch on 4 devices at the same time, includes High Definition and Ultra High Definition when available)

The new changes have efectively made the plans slightly cheaper than before. The $7.99 plan was effectively Kshs 806, $9.99 plan was Kshs 1,007 and the $11.99 plan was Kshs 1,209 as of today’s forex exchange rate.
