Look, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is selling selling quite well in Kenya, but the South Korean multinational conglomerate is already preparing a 5G version of it. The move aims at getting a piece of the rapidly expanding market for affordable 5G smartphones. On April 3, 2020 the Galaxy A51 which has been code-named SM-A516N, got its license for operating on Wi-Fi networks.
The phone will support Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. It has also been listed with Android 10, and this subsequently implies it will come with One UI 2. Expectations are the new phone will retain the dimensions as the regular Galaxy A51.That L-shaped camera setup we shall also see. The punch hole design (personal favorite) and a 6.5” Super AMOLED screen will also remain. But Samsung Galaxy A51 5G will have an Exynos 980 chipset that has an integrated 5G modem. This will be the greatest difference with the Exynos 9611-powered non-5G version. And who knows, maybe even the only difference between the two phones.
